To save time in listing, we have devised a rating scale for our products: BRAND NEW - Of course, this is in the condition you would find at a new bookstore on the shelf. Crisp, clean pages; no writing; no stains; no creases.LIKE NEW - In the above condition but may have a sticker on the front, or a name written in the front cover. May have a slight ding in the edge or something to that effect which shows slight shelf wear (as if it were on a bookstore shelf) but not signs of use (writing, soil, creases, etc.).EXCELLENT - This is a condition of a used book that is crisp and clean, but may have a slight corner bend of a soft cover or a few pencil markings which have been erased. The difference between this condition and LIKE NEW condition is that the book shows some slight use, but is otherwise in fantastic shape.VERY GOOD - This is a book which may have been used gently for a while. Maybe a teacher's guide used for only one year with minimal to no markings. There may be some more bends or creases on pages and the corners may be bent on a soft cover, but only such damage as would occur with regular GENTLE use in a homeschool classroom. There may be some minimal pencil markings in a student edition, but only erasable ones that shouldn't affect the future use of the book.GOOD - This book is still very usable, but has definitely been used. Rather than looking as if it's been on the shelf most of its life, it looks like a well-enjoyed book from a family of avid readers. It probably has some bent corners, writing, a little highlighting, or some creased pages. You could not confuse this book in any manner with a new one. IT IS HOWEVER still very usable. It still has all of its pages and its covers. It's probably in no worse condition than a typical public school textbook and in many cases, in better condition than one. BE SURE TO EMAIL WITH ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING A BOOK IN THIS CONDITION. I'LL BE GLAD TO DETAIL THE EXACT FLAWS.ACCEPTABLE - This book may be missing a few pages, have water damage, some coffee spilled on it, etc. Sometimes books don't fare so well in active households with many children year after year. Damage will definitely be noted on a book of this condition. Even a book rated ACCEPTABLE is usable. It won't win awards for the best looking book on your shelf, but it will provide you with all the necessary information that you bought the book for in the first place. WE DON'T SELL UNUSABLE BOOKS!!! WE THROW THOSE AWAY. We sell nothing that we wouldn't be willing to use ourselves and are very critical when rating our books. You won't be disappointed. Check out our feedback ratings to get an idea of our customer satisfaction. We do go above and beyond to provide you with excellent homeschool resources at great prices. Again, though, be sure to email with any questions regarding specific items and we'll be glad to provide more detail. Check our Other Items often for more awesome homeschool materials.
