This came out of my mother-in-laws house years ago and I'm not sure what to do with it. I've showed it to a few people, and I've been told this is a book cover. If I am wrong, please let me know. Closed it measures 9" x 9". The inside is solid and is the same as the back. It has burnt orange rope like trim and a ribbon to tie it shut. I don't know if the front is hand done by needlepoint or not. It's perfect! If you have any questions, please let me know.
